Washington (Reuters) -Us president Donald Trump said on Monday that he is not thinking about taking a break from customs to allow negotiations with business partners, but said he should talk to China, Japan and other countries about customs.
On the question at a press conference in the White House with the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, if he were open to a break in customs, Trump said: “Well, we do not analyze this. We have many, many countries that will negotiate agreements with us and they will be fair agreements. And in some cases they will pay significant prices.
Trump repeated his threat of introducing another 50% on Chinese imports, unless the country removes its threat to add a 34% toll over its products.
