The long -lasting Tesla plans for an affordable car include a small version of its best -sold electric SUV, model Y, which will be manufactured in the US, but the production of production has been postponed, three sources with knowledge of the subject told Reuters.
Tesla promised available vehicles from the first half of the year and offers potential sales for sale. Global low -cost model Y production, Codinome Internal E41, is expected to start in the US, says the sources, but at least months later than Tesla’s public plan, they added, and offers a series of revised third quarterly goals at the beginning of next year.
Two of the people said that Tesla intends to produce 250,000 of the cheapest Model YS in the United States in 2026. There are also plans for possible production of the new vehicle in China and Europe, Reuters said before. Production delay and production targets in the United States were not previously informed.
Tesla releases its results on Tuesday, and the plans for new vehicles are an important issue.
