The owners of electric cars have a serious problem: they will not be able to park in some parking due to the increase of fires of the last few months. The Municipal Council of Madrid works in a new protocol for firefighters.
Madrid experiences an unusual fire increase caused by electric cars. Batteries burn while parked in public parking or charged in service stations, so they have started to take more drastic measures.
Parking at the number 11 of the Reporteurs Street has limited electric cars, although it allows hybrids. This parking of only seven plants installed a sign next to the characteristic letter p that warns the drivers: “Given the possible fire risks that a 100% electric car may be forbidden to access such vehicles at the garage.”

Madrid prohibits parking of electric cars in some areas
