NATO leaders have always emphasized that the problem of membership should be discussed only between allies and the Candidate countries, and that Moscow cannot have the right to vote in this regard. Recently, however, this issue has become a matter of negotiations in negotiations between the United States, Russia and Ukraine.

In 1949, NATO was founded to create a set of threats in Europe, which is taking place from the Soviet Union.

On May 6, 1955, the former West Germany was looking for protection as the 15th member of the Alliance between the growing concern that the Soviet Army gathered in the east of the Iron Curtain.

Seventy years later, the threat caused by Moscow is still ongoing. The new German coalition government plans to increase defense expenses, weakening strict debt rules to strengthen the neglected army of the country for many years.

The government that left this post has formed a special fund of 100 billion euros to modernize the army. Thanks to this fund, Berlin was able to achieve the target of NATO for defense costs at a speed of 2 percent of GDP. Nevertheless, this indicator can be increased to 3 percent or more at a meeting of NATO leaders in the Netherlands in June.

“We will strive to turn the army of Germany and infrastructure in the basis of ordinary defense in Europe, said Stein Steinmeier.

He praised the adoption of membership in West Germany as an example of the “strategic intelligence” of the allies, and said that NATO leaders will still show such a forward today.
