On Wednesday (23), the inhabitants of the rural Sonora will receive a special visit: Theater. Carkmbo Ubu – Borders of Mato Sul Project brings to the sister Araudi Municipal School, in Park Novo Horizonte, the art of “Pelaga and Preet – in the Pequi mat”, a free program inspired by Mits and Legend of the Brazilian Cerado. The presentation starts at 14:30.

Art is a popular fairy tale created by the UBU group, Sul-Mato-Grosso Company, which travels through 12 cities in this country to introduce culture to places where access to art is still rare. The project was awarded by Funarte (National Arts Foundation), through the scholarship Myriam Muniz Theater, with the support of the Mato Grosso to Sul Culture Foundation.

The idea is simple: take the theater when it comes to people. “We made a conscious choice to cross physical and symbolic boundaries. We want to come in places where art is sometimes a rare visit,” explains the director of the group Anderson Bosh.

After the presentation, artists promote experience with school teachers, dealing with topics related to culture, education and everyday life.

In the first two stops of the circuit in Corumbá and Rondonópolis, the group delighted children who in many cases saw the fun for the first time. “Now in the sound we follow the same desire: make art funny experience,” says actor Edner Gustavo.

The project lasts a journey through other cities of Mato Grosso to Sul, as well as by you such as Goiás, Paraná, Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo.
