The election court rejected the appeal of Jorge Ricardo Laurício (PT) on Friday (4), as the mayor of Paranhos in additional elections planned for the next Sunday (6), in a commune located 462 kilometers from Campo Grande.
The decision was made during a regular session, after analyzing the judges, and maintained the previous rejection based on the late record of the album, which was submitted outside the legal date.
The decision confirmed the opinion of judge Daniel Raimundo da Matty from the 1st Amambai election zone, which refused to register the Brazilian Hope Federation, created by PT, PC to B and PV. Jorge said in social networks that he was resorting to TSE (Superior Electoral Court). If the appeal is rejected, all votes received by the album from Vicente Jonas de Araújo will be definitely annulled. The municipality faces additional elections after Heliomar Klabunde (MDB), a selected mayor in 2024 with 50.98% of votes, due to irregularities on the accounts of his previous management. The decision, confirmed by TSE, meant that Klabunde did not qualify until April 2025, along with this, the mayor Hélio Acosta (PSDB) took over the city in a temporary way.
