The Park of Native Nations, an important recreational area and sports practice in Campo Grande, closes at the beginning of this week due to problems with public lighting. The place, which usually works from 6 am to 21:30, shortened its time, closing around 19h. According to IMASUL (Institute of Environment of Mato Grosso to SUL), this is a preventive maintenance. Governors reported dark episodes, especially around the lake and in part of the walk. This is the second closing episode associated with lighting in 2023. It is forecasted that normal hours will be restored after the maintenance services, which were still ongoing.

The Dzdanna National Park, at UPS Avenida Afonso Pena, in Campo Grande, was closed to at least two nights this week, asking to leave this place when they darken. Yesterday the exit move began earlier, around 19h. On normal days, the operation lasts from 6 am to 21:30.

IMASUL (Mato Grosso to Sul Environment Institute) indicated that this is a preventive maintenance. However, the report listened to visitors this morning that they said that there were sections in the dark, with street lights without lighting, like the lake and some points on the track.

The park is visited by those who run or walk, as well as many families with children and young people who practice skateboards or play football, they are available by Antonio Maria Coelho.

Only this year it is the second closing section related to lighting. In 2023, the problem forced the park to close and darkness for many days. Physical trainer, 32 -year -old Leandro Vasconcelos, said that on Tuesday a request to leave the park took place near 19h.

55 -year -old Regina Santos, who also runs practitioners in the park, said that yesterday he had to “slow down and leave”. She said that she tried to know with employees early today if she had a forecast for regulating the operation, but she couldn’t get information.

The report showed that today there will still be maintenance workers and the forecast of restoring open gates at night as soon as the service is completed.
