In the town of Out, near Erakelon, on the island of Crete, the residents cannot sleep quietly. To help him, groups of specialists and equipment were called from Athens. Monthly, experts prepare a final diagnosis in the coming hours. After examining a 150 -meter rift, and crossing the village, Lixas said he sees the soil drop, but he has not yet understood its causes.
“At the present time, we cannot say with certainty what kind of this phenomenon,” the lakes explained. “Either this is a slight rupture of the soil, the rotational landslide, or the differential settlement. We will investigate all this.”
The mayor of iraklion Alexis Kalokairino, for his part, is busy checking homes to see how safe stay in the room with cracks.
