B3 announces the extension of the use of artificial intelligence focused on autonomous systems

B3, Brazil Stock Exchange, announced on Monday (22) that it will expand the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in its products and services in 2025. The initiative focuses on the adoption of AI agents, autonomous systems that can carry out complex tasks independently. The measure aims to increase the company’s internal productivity and improve the customer experience. The company did not say how much it will invest in this front.

Unlike AI assistants, who respond to human commands based on available information, AI agents have independence to make decisions, interact with the environment and strive for the best strategies to achieve defined goals. This difference makes agents powerful tools to automate processes, integrate systems and drastically reduce the execution time for organizational tasks.

According to Thiago Suzano, head of software and computer technology from B3, the new phase of AI should revolutionize how the company works. “We have a great intellectual capacity within the company that is often taken by procedural and operational tasks. Our goal is to increase the company’s operational capacity and release employees to intellectual work, which is the big difference from human to AI,” he said in a statement. For him, the adoption of agents should reduce activities that took days to be resolved to just a few minutes.
