David Degtarev’s journey to heavy athletics began in 2015, when a friend introduced him to sports. What began as an accidental interest quickly became professional activity.
Under the leadership of the coach Yuri Kolesnikov, Degtarev participated in his first tournament in 2016 and never looked back. By 2021, all the main championships in their category have already won. Now, watching the third Paralympic games in Los -Antheles, he continues to work hard. For Degarev, success is a team effort based on beliefs, discipline and unshakable support.
