Austria finished two dozen border posts with her neighbors Hungary and Slovakia, trying to restrain the spread of the disease of the foot and gloomy illness and prevent its entry into the country.

Slovakia announced an emergency on Tuesday after the disease was found on three farms.

On Wednesday, Hungary registered the first outbreak of this highly infectious disease over 50 years, which led to the fact that the country sent a soldier and launched disinfection measures to restrain the disease in the border zone with Slovakia and Austria.

A disease that does not pose any danger to people, primarily affects cattle and other bionegelled animals, such as pigs, sheep and goats. Infected animals have fever and bubbles in the mouth as part of the symptoms of the disease. Flies often lead to commercial restrictions and to the killing of some animals.

Austrian sanitary authorities perform strict management elements within several borders open with Hungary and Slovakia. To avoid the spread of the virus, cars must pass an epidemic carpet. This measure also refers to pawns that cross the border on foot.

The police also consider vehicles at border points in search of products based on meat.

The Austrian authorities say that they concentrate their police resources on the border, while this emergency is maintained. They also added that although the border forces have a maximum warning, they also prepares measures of unforeseen circumstances if the disease is found in one of their agricultural studies.
