American billionaire Elon Musk said on Saturday that he expects to see a total trade freedom between the United States and Europe in the future, and spoke days after US President Donald Trump announced duties on business partners.
Musk, a Trump adviser who has worked to fire thousands of us officials, spoke through a video link at a congress in the league party, right and board in Italy.
“At the end of the day, I hope that both Europe and the United States should move ideally, in my opinion, to a zero customs situation, which effectively creates a free trade zone between Europe and North America,” Musk said.
According to Trump plans that were announced on Wednesday, Italy, which has a large commercial surplus with the United States, will be the subject of a 20%general interest rate, along with other EU countries.
Interviewed by the league leader Matteo Salvini, Musk, who repeatedly expressed support for right -wing parties across Europe, said he also expects to see greater freedom of movement between Europe and the United States.
“If people want to work in Europe or North America, they should be allowed to do so, in my opinion,” Musk said, leaving that this was really my advice to the president. “

Italy’s Minister for Economics, Giancarlo Giorgetti, who comes from the league, said early on Saturday that the government wants to “reduce climbing” with the United States after the announcement of Trump duties and warned about the introduction of retaliation tariffs.
Last month, Musk expressed gratitude to Salvini after the league’s manager said that Italy should choose its Starlink company to get a satellite communication system.
