According to the authorities, a bomb located next to the Hellenic trains, Greece’s main railway company exploded in a busy zone in the center of Athens.
There is no immediate registration of injuries.
Local media reported that the newspaper and news site received an anonymous call shortly before the explosion on Friday evening, warning that the bomb was placed near the railway company and that it would explode within 40 minutes.
The police isolated the scene along the large Avenue of the Greek capital, holding residents and tourists from the building, in a zone with various bars and restaurants.
The agents on the spot said that the bag with explosive ingenuity was placed next to the headquarters of the Hellenic train on Sinrog -Avenue.
The explosion occurs in the midst of the widespread indignation of public opinion regarding the Tempi Rail disaster in 2023, the worst in Greece, in which 57 people were killed, and tens of others were injured when trains and passenger train, which followed opposite directions.
The criticism of how the government concerned the accident increased in the last weeks after the second anniversary of the disaster, which died young people who returned to school at the university after vacation.
