During a recent family trip to Tel -Azek in Israel, 3 -year -old Ziv Nitzan raised a stone that turned out to be an ancient amulet of 3800 -year -olds.
“Of the 7000 stones around her, she lifted one. Then she cleaned the sand and saw that there was something else in her, ”said Omer Nice, the older sister of Ziva in a translated video.
“When she rubbed her and removed the sand, we saw that there was something else in her,” Omer continued. “I called my parents to see a beautiful stone, and we realized that we had discovered an archaeological find!”
Tel Azek, where the child dug an artifact, is a famous archaeological place in the Shefel area in Israel, where excavations took place for about 15 years. And if Azek is familiar to her, her study of the Bible of justice: she appears in David and Goliath from the first book of Samuel.

Daphne Ben-Por, an expert on ancient amulets and seals, revealed the value behind the object: this is the Canaanian scarab dating from the average bronze age.
Daphne Ben-Por explained that the Scarabs of the Canaanites were used as seals and amulets found in “graves, public buildings and private houses.”

Archaeologists have found numerous artifacts in Tel Azek, including the old walls and agricultural structures of the Jewish kingdom.
“The results of excavations show that during the average bronze and final bronze here, in the tel -azek, one of the most important cities of the low lands of Judea flourished,” said Odd Lipshits, director of archaeological excavations at the University of Tel -Aviv.
“The scarab found by Ziv joins the long list of Egyptian conclusions, and the Canaans were discovered here, indicating narrow ties and cultural influence between Canaan and Egypt during this period.”
For his efforts to detect the ancient amulet, Ziv Nice was awarded an exclusive certificate of citizenship.
