Crowds of people outraged by how US President Donald Trump and their administration ruled the country on the street in national protests to express their objection in several American cities on Saturday.
This is the highest day of the manifestations of the opposition movement, which is trying to restore its impulse after the shock from the first weeks of the Republican.
Protest movement – called “Hands with!” – It was organized in more than 1200 places in 50 states of more than 150 groups, including civil rights organizations, trade unions, lawyers of the LGBTQ+community, veterans and voter activists.
The demonstrations seemed peaceful, and the authorities did not record cases of serious violence, clashes or arrests.
From the Parque National Mall, in the capital of Washington, the District of Colombia, in the center of Manhattan, Boston, a community and several regular capitals, thousands of protesters attacked the actions of Trump and the richest man in the world, Elon Musk.
Critics expressed their objection to the policy and approaches of the current administration, which include a reduction in the federal government, economics, immigration and human rights.
Protesters gathered to confront the administration measures to dismiss thousands of federal officials, stop managing social security and effectively close entire state institutions such as USAID.
Musk played a key role in promoting such actions when it leads the recently created Department of Government Efficiency – or the Roger, which is aimed at reducing “unnecessary state expenses”. DOGE plans to reduce about $ 2 billion (1.82 billion euros) in federal expenses.
Protesters demonstrated posters with the words “catch a muset” and “deport Elon Musk”, in a clear opposition to their policy. Many also criticized Musk, which belong to Tesla, Spacex, Starlink and X for his role in the government, being a naturalized citizen.
“Here, in America, Mr. Musk, the court is not for sale. And we do not hold the positions of the judge of the Supreme Court for a reward for a million dollars. Stop trying to buy our voices. Stop the theft of our government. And stop stealing our data, ”said Congressman Jamie Raskin, who performed at the demonstration in Washington.
In Boston, protesters demonstrated posters with the words “hands from our democracy” and “hands from our social security”. Mayor Michelle Wu participated in protest in the capital of Massachusetts, where she condemned the tactics of intimidation of Trump and the attack of diversity and equality.
“I refuse to admit that they can grow in a world where immigrants, such as grandparents, are automatically considered criminals,” Wu said.

Throughout the world there were protests when hundreds of American citizens abroad and foreigners protested against Trump’s foreign political policy.

Since their return to the White House, activists have organized numerous national and international demonstrations against Trump and Musk.
Protesters say that they will continue to express their objection to the administration peacefully, which says that they do not represent them or the general interests of US citizens, hoping to exert pressure on the leadership in order to turn the course.
