The US Consumer Price Index (CPI) fell by 0.1% in March, after 0.2% up in February, said the Labor Department on Thursday (10). With this, annual inflation reached 2.4%.
The projection of Reuters research was that the consumer price index had increased by 0.1% last month, which reflected the lower energy costs and the fatigue of the effects of price increases at the beginning of the year.
For 12 months until March, consumer prices were expected to have advanced 2.6% of 2.8% in February.
