Video. Haiti protests become cruel when armed people shoot the police

The protesters in the capital of Haiti, Port Prince, collided with the police on Wednesday, when they protested against growing violence in the gang and asked the government to restore safety.

The protests, which began peacefully, became chaotic when armed people opened fire against the police near the office of the Prime Minister and Transitional Presidential Council.

The pictures caused panic, leading the crowds to flight, while the protesters blocked the roads with fiery tires and turned to the police to turn against the government.

Disorders are the first serious challenge for Prime Minister Alix Didier Phils-am, appointed in November.

Gangs now control 85% of capital, shifting thousands of people and expanding to new areas. The UN warns of the deterioration of violence in the country, more than 4,200 people have died in recent months.
