The sisters born in the zoo of Rostok, Germany, in November 2021, previously lived with their mother, Sysersel. In nature, white bears usually leave their mothers for about two to three years. His trip to Estonia was carefully planned, and both bears were transported in boxes facing each other to maintain visual contact throughout the trip.
Skadi and Kaja are currently living in the previously occupied fencing Friida, a long -standing resident of the Zoo Tallinn for 23 years, which was transferred to the Scandinavian Wildlife Park in Denmark. Their arrival is increased by the population of white bears from the zoo to four young women, joining Inuka and Imaku, who arrived in November last year.
